Dr. Greg Morris is a Respected Specialist in Foot Surgery in Hawaii

Dr. Greg Morris, a respected specialist in foot surgery in Hawaii, completed a two year surgical residency in foot, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Santa Clara, California. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Podiatric Sports Medicine Association. Dr. Morris has served as chief surgical resident and surgical faculty member for the surgical residency program at Kaiser Santa Clara, California and surgical faculty for the Hawaii Podiatric Surgical Fellowship program. He has written articles for both the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Morris is an active surgical staff member at all the major hospitals and medical centers in Hawaii. He currently performs the majority of his surgeries at Queen's Medical Center, Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi, St. Francis West Medical Center and Health South Surgery Center.

Dr. Morris performs and teaches all of the latest surgical procedures and techniques to correct foot and ankle problems. Most routine forefoot surgeries (Bunions, Hammertoes, Neuromas etc.) are performed in an outpatient hospital setting and patients are usually able to walk in a protective shoe and return home the same day. More complicated or reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries (Fractures, Ruptured Tendons, Arch Reconstruction etc.) are still performed in an outpatient setting, but may require being in a cast or splint post-operatively.

There have been many great advances in all areas of surgery over the past 10 years, especially foot and ankle surgery. The new surgical techniques and equipment designed for foot and ankle surgery have dramatically reduced the recovery period after surgery and have greatly increased the results and patient satisfaction. Many foot and ankle problems do not require surgical intervention, especially if diagnosed and treated promptly and properly. Therefore, if you have a foot or ankle problem that requires medical or surgical attention, please make an appointment for a consultation and evaluation with Dr. Morris, to determine and discuss your surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
